Important Dates:
- The FBAR form must be filed by April 15. If you do not file it by then, an extension will automatically be granted until October 15.
- Form 5472 must be filed by April 15. An extension may be requested until October 15 (we can do this on your behalf if needed).
General rule for the FBAR:
You only need to file the form if your LLC held $10,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) in accounts outside the U.S. at any time during the previous year. In this case, you must file the FBAR. You must report the highest amount held in these accounts at any time during 2025.
Please note! If you use Mercury, Lili Bank, Payoneer, Revolut, or Wise for your LLC, you do not need to file the FBAR. This also applies if you held euros with Wise.
